Tourism Marketing Levy
Tourism Marketing Levy
The Tourism Marketing Levy is a provincial initiative to sustainably grow local tourism by providing a revenue source to support integrated and expanded marketing initiatives. The municipality of Colchester is mandated to administer the program within the county of Colchester, the Town of Truro, the Town of Stewiacke and within the community of Millbrook First Nation. Accommodation operators within these regions are required to register for the levy and collect, report and remit a 3% levy on all accommodations sold to overnight visitors. This requirement became effective April 1, 2024.
